In 2017, I discovered the news concerning the Afrikaner people that the world news sources were not reporting on. Brutal farm murders and families raised in squatter camps were a shocking revelation that one cannot forget. After speaking to South Africans here on asylum, and knowing they had a solid case according to the law, I decided to open my home to those struggling in America-Shelly

Working alone and without funding, asylees were offered 7 free months accommodation in my 2-family home in Connecticut with help with laws, customs, paperwork and an array of other concerns. Once they received their EAD, they were set to settle where they chose. In total, 15 people and 3 dogs were assisted in my humble home to get their start here-Shelly

Since President Trump's Executive order was signed on February 7, 2025, we have been actively delivering the best information possible through our Facebook group -Afrikaner Refugee Status in the US. We are also helping with referrals, our first car donation, and making an effort on the farm jobs front. We hope to partner with our federal government and local NGO to have a much larger impact in the near future

A Thank You To The US Government
We would like to heartily thank President Trump on behalf of the South African refugees for recognizing their situation and reaching out a hand to save precious lives. We realize that the President is made a villain for this act because there are some who will not look at the facts. We also send love to Secretary Rubio, Mr. Stephen Miller, Deputy Secretary Landau, and all the the personnel working hard to bring the persecuted to the US.
